HOW I BECAME A PURPLE SNOWFLAKE

What, you may ask, is a Purple Snowflake?

Imagine watching millions of white snowflakes falling from the sky, and suddenly you spot a purple snowflake. It stands out proudly in the crowd, and that image is what I’ve created for myself in the real estate world.

In my 36th year as a real estate broker, I am continually seeking ways to differentiate myself and my business.

In the early years of Real Estate International, I set myself apart by focusing on buyers and sellers globally, which few others in the industry were doing.

Our slogan, “Sold in Any Language,” attracted clients who had settled in the States from abroad, enabling them to work with our staff of multi-lingual agents.

My goal was to become an expert in international transactions, so I joined FIABCI, a prestigious International Real Estate organization.

To make myself stand out within FIABCI, I went a step further and earned the CIPS designation: Certified International Property Specialist.

Instead of having the mindset of competing with other agents and brokers, I decided to focus on networking where we could all help each other move properties and share ideas to make us all more successful.

My first networking endeavor focused on luxury properties, where powerful agents met to mastermind ways to promote and sell high-end listings. 

More recently I have spearheaded Meet Up luncheons where real estate professionals and business owners in related industries, such as real estate attorneys and mortgage bankers, gather to network and learn about related topics from a guest speaker.

Often people think of real estate agents as dealing strictly with buying and selling homes and businesses. So I expanded my quest to become a Purple Snowflake by connecting buyers and sellers of racetracks, parking lots, casinos, churches, schools, and vineyards.

Two of my slogans are “Never Say Never” and “Sold in Any Language.” I stand out from the crowd by never taking “No” for an answer, and going above and beyond to help international clients procure the home or business of their dreams.

I wrote a book called “How I Became a Purple Snowflake in Real Estate” which shares many stories about how to accomplish your goals you have to “Get out of the Box” and be creative.

It’s the “Purple Snowflake Effect,” which makes all the Dreams become a Reality!
